Kevin Johnson Kevin Johnson

Certified Public Accountant

Kevin received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. He enjoys looking beyond the compliance aspect of preparing tax returns and finds tax strategies that provide long term tax savings. Kevin's hard work and passion for tax advising has helped him achieve his dream of operating his private CPA firm. Kevin takes great pride in providing professional services to his clients and understands the value of providing timely and accurate information. He looks forward to working with new clients and developing a long and trusted relationship.

Dean Johnson Dean Johnson

Certified Public Accountant

Dean has more than 25 years of tax preparation and tax planning experience. He still enjoys every aspect of tax and financial planning with his clients from the basic needs to the more complex issues, including business succession planning, estate planning, retirement planning and specialized industry needs. In addition, he has a background in auditing of financial statements and internal controls through Bank of America and the State Auditor General’s Office. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Computer Science minor from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. He was fortunate enough to do all this while on a full golf scholarship.


Linda Johnson Linda Johnson

Office Director, QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor, Accountant

Linda has more than 10 years of experience as an accountant and has obtained the advanced certification of QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor, which she has held for 15 years. Her expanded expertise in this area distinguishes her as someone who understands the skillset required to grow her business. Linda can now easily manage complex conversions and apply in-depth customizations to QuickBooks Online, thereby helping her clients be better prepared for difficult tax laws. She takes pride in fully understanding and having the ability to prepare all aspects of financial statements and preparations, sales tax reports, and business entity structure and design. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Arizona State University and enjoys reading, hiking, and crafts.


Mark Brooks Mark Brooks

Enrolled Agent (EA) - Tax Consultant and Preparer

Mark has more than 14 years’ experience in the field of accounting and income taxation and planning. Previously, he was the Assistant Vice President (Regional Manager) in Information Services and Regional Vice President for two major financial institutions. Mark earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting and a Computer Science minor from the University of Arizona. Assisting clients in achieving their financial goals as they relate to income taxation and financial planning is what he enjoys in his position as an Enrolled Agent. He loves cooking outdoors, grilling and smoking meats in his free time, as well as spending quality time with family, and watching sports.


Chris Markham Chris Markham

Certified Public Accountant

Chris has more than 10 years of income tax and accounting experience and has been a valuable contributor to our process controls. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Phoenix. Chris’ experience with tax resolution, financial reporting, accounts payable, payroll, and sales tax reporting gives him insight into a wide range of tax related fields, which he uses to help his clients navigate their unique situations and ensure that their needs are met. Chris enjoys spending time with his family, working with his wife to raise their two young boys.


Teri Shakal Teri Shakal

Certified Public Accountant

Teri began working in public accounting in 2005 and received her CPA license in 2009. She has over 15 years of experience in business and individual tax preparation, tax planning, bookkeeping, and payroll. Teri grew up in Oregon, then earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington, before moving to Arizona to escape the rain. In summer 2021, she decided it was time for another climate change and moved to New Hampshire. Teri enjoys reading, watching baseball, making Excel spreadsheets, and exploring New England with her husband and two daughters.


Nancy Bram

Office Administrator

Nancy joined the firm in 2023 with office management experience in the medical profession. She has an associates degree in paralegal studies and graduated Magna cum laude.


Mikaela Young Mikaela Foote

Office Manager

Mikaela is an Arizona native and ASU graduate who started as an educator before joining the firm in 2018. She lives in Ahwatukee with her husband and two kids. Mikaela enjoys plant-based cooking, nonfiction books, volunteering, exploring our beautiful state, and playing with her spunky dog Tiger.


Kim Sorrelman Kim Sorrelman

Senior Accountant

Kim has been in the Valley since 1983. She began her professional career as a bookkeeper for her church. Since then, she has expanded her knowledge to include advanced accounting and payroll services. With over 20 years of accounting experience, she still enjoys it today. When not engaged professionally, she is a dedicated mother of three, as well as to an adorable boxer named Koda and a cat named Elvis. Kim enjoys yoga and outdoor activities, and volunteering with several philanthropies in the Valley.
